Leith Hill in southern England is the highest summit of the Greensand Ridge, approximately 6.7 km southwest of Dorking, Surrey and 40.5 km southwest of central London. It reaches 294 m above sea level, and is the second highest point in southeast England
St Catherine's Hill is a hill south of Guildford in Surrey, England, with a ruined chapel on its top.The name is derived from the chantry chapel, a ruined ancient monument on top of the hill. This was probably a chapel of ease associated with St Nicolas Church in Guildford and was built in the early 14th century by the rector of the church, Richard de Wauncey. A five-day fair has been held here historically, licensed by King Edward II in 1308.
Waverley Abbey has a remarkable history as a site of Christian prayer and worship for over 1,300 years. The land was dedicated in 688AD as a place of prayer and witness. In 1128AD it’s where the first Cistercian monastery in Britain was built, whose ruins can still be seen today.
